What It's Like Being a Black, Body-Positive Female Trainer In an Industry That's Predominantly Thin and White

I recently contributed to a Shape Magazine article on my experience as a Black and body positive fitness instructor in a space that looks very different. I was happy to share my experience because I feel like representation within this industry could always be improved.

I love my job because I get to show up powerfully as myself and I have been able to make so many beautiful connections this way. I do not think fitness instructors have a “look” and I think my presence in this industry is part of a movement towards more body diversity and acceptance.
